Getting Around Brisbane

Getting around the city of Brisbane is very easy as the CBD is flat and condensed. Therefore it is possible to get around to many of the city’s areas simply by walking or riding a bike can easily access many areas. The other areas are easily accessible through a variety of means.
Walking and cycling
It is easy to cycle around Brisbane city, as there are many bicycle paths along the river, which make for splendid views. It is legal to cycle on the footpaths but keep in mind that pedestrians have the right of way.

Public Transport
There are three main options when it comes to public transport in Brisbane, ferries, trains and buses. Greencabs
Greencabs, essentially rickshaws, have been gaining a steady popularity in Brisbane. The Greencabs can usually accommodate up to two adults and two children but you could always talk to the rider to see what can be arranged. Rickshaw prices starts from $5 per adult and tours can also be arranged. Currently Greencabs operate only during the weekends and special events and can be found in throughout the CBD, Southbank and Westend.
